  IM sales pitches are annoying

Since when is it ok to give someone your entire sales pitch via IM?

I always have anywhere from 5 to 20 IMs going at any given time throughout my day.  While I don't mind getting new offer updates or biz proposals from current partners and most importantly, questions and issues from affiliates, I definitely do not have time to learn about your company or what you are selling via IM.

Send me an email, I won't consider it SPAM, I consider it the first step in communicating with me; an introduction.
